Shelby Hendrix grew up assisting his uncle, Richard Grunder, the founder of HouseMaster, on remodel projects, gaining firsthand knowledge of the construction trades. While attending UC Santa Barbara, Shelby began working for HouseMaster, deepening his expertise and interest in building inspection. Driven by a strong sense of patriotism, Shelby joined the U.S. Coast Guard after graduation. After his service, he returned to Santa Barbara, where he spent several years remodeling homes as an owner-builder. When his uncle decided to retire, Shelby purchased the business, carrying forward HouseMaster’s legacy of thorough, knowledgeable inspection services across Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, while leading the company into a new era of exemplary service.

Dayne Haigh brings extensive firsthand expertise in all aspects of construction, including electrical, plumbing, framing, masonry, finish work, and HVAC. His knowledge developed through hands-on experience with owner-builder remodel projects and his role as a certified building inspector with HouseMaster since 2010. Dayne is dedicated to providing clients with the highest quality information, empowering them to make informed decisions through his thorough inspections and clear, effective communication.
