<p>John Elmore began in February 2017 as Marketing Manager for Housemaster Home Inspections&nbsp;serving central Kansas. His duties include acting as a liaison to local real estate agents, brokers, and offices to support the company&rsquo;s marketing strategy in Central Kansas, as well as assembling and distributing marketing collateral and online&nbsp;communications.<br /><br />Mr. Elmore brings 16 years of experience in public and media relations, most recently two years as Director of Communications for Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina. Prior to moving to Kansas to join KWU, he oversaw major communications efforts and media plans for the central and western Michigan programs of Lutheran Social Services of Michigan, now called Samaritas, the state&rsquo;s largest private social services agency. He also served for seven years as media relations coordinator and as primary university print and online writer-editor for Cornerstone University, a private Christian institution in Grand Rapids, MI.<br /><br />His background includes work for two national radio and print ministries: as associate director of Children&rsquo;s Bible Hour (Grand Rapids, MI), now called Keys for Kids Ministries, and as broadcast writer-assistant producer for Focus on the Family (Colorado Springs, CO). He has been a member of the Public Relations Society of America since 1997.<br /><br /></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Her duties include assisting local real estate agents, brokers, offices, and clients with their home inspection appointment scheduling needs and performing administrative office duties.<br /><br />HouseMaster Home Inspections of Central Kansas serves home buyers throughout central Kansas, with a focus on Saline, McPherson, Reno and Harvey counties and the cities of Salina, Lindsborg, McPherson, Hutchinson and Newton.<br />"I am so excited to be working for HouseMaster, and our Central Kansas HouseMaster team" said Stewart. She brings to HouseMaster more than 33 years of administrative experience in the Human Service and Healthcare fields. Stewart served as CEO and owner-operator of her own corporation with three businesses: a nonprofit naturopathic research institute; a natural health center; and computer sales and service center.<br /><br />PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND WORK EXPERIENCE:<br />While pursuing a career in Neurodiagnostics healthcare, Stewart served as coordinator for the Neurodiagnostic Department at Geary Medical Center in Junction City, KS, working at Fort Riley with head injury patients and others in the Wounded Warrior program. She is a trained Polysomnographic Technologist, registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists &amp; trade; (BRPT), and she performed sleep studies and EEG testing for critical care in-patients and out-patients, as well as for Army post patients. She is also certified as an American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor.<br /><br />Stewart studied at Herbal Healer Academy, Mountain View, AR, with a specialization in naturopathic medicine. Upon her graduation in 2001, she was awarded the title of Naturopathic Doctor, whereupon she joined the American Naturopathic Medical Association, Las Vegas, NV. She was named a Board Certified Naturopath, qualified to practice Naturopathy, by the American Naturopathic Medical Certification and Accreditation Board in Washington, D.C. Stewart received her Naturopath Practitioner license in 2004 from the District of Columbia Department of Health. She performed naturopathic biofeedback research in conjunction with Phazx Systems, Inc., a computer software company located in Colorado Springs, CO.<br /><br />Stewart is a Certified Nutritional Consultant (CNC), as recognized by the American Association of Nutritional Consultants. She is also certified in transpersonal therapy by the National Association for Transpersonal Psychology, a sub-field of psychology that integrates the spiritual and transcendent aspects of the human experience with modern psychology. In addition, she has completed certification in Human Resource Management through Villanova University Continuing Education, Villanova, PA.<br /><br /></p>

What we inspect: Visible roof covering materials, (shingles), flashings at roof penetrations and valleys, skylights, chimneys, gutters and downspouts. We assess the condition of these elements for proper function; looking for evidence of leakage or worn, damaged, or missing components. Watch us in action!

Here is what we inspect: Visible siding and trim, windows, doors, garages, porches, decks, stairs, and railings. We assess the elements for proper construction and function; looking for damage, missing components or other conditions that might lead to infiltration or functional concerns. Watch us in action!

INTERIOR ELEMENTS

What we inspect: visible areas of all walls, ceilings, stairways, representative windows and doors, and attic areas for signs of leakage and damage, sagging or other structural concerns. What we inspect: Visible load-bearing framing components, foundation walls, slabs, piers and columns and major structural components. Visible, accessible structural components will be assessed for function and presence of damage, decay or defects. We look for water penetration at below grade areas. Watch us in action!

What we inspect: Plumbing fixtures and built-in appliances. We check plumbing fixtures looking for water pressure or drainage issues and visible signs of leaks. We check basic operational modes of the appliances and ventilators and look at cabinets and countertops for significant deficiencies.  Watch us in action!

HEATING SYSTEM

What we inspect: Visible components of the central AC or heat pump system including condensers and air handlers, and the distribution ductwork. We operate the systemto assess function and condition of the accessible indoor/ outdoor components. The distribution system will also be assessed. Watch us in action!

COOLING SYSTEM

What we inspect: Visible components of the central AC or heat pump system including condensers and air handlers, and the distribution ductwork. What we inspect: Visible service panels components and household wiring and devices. We assess the condition of readily accessible panel components, note the presence of GFCIs, AFCIs, smoke alarms and check the operation of representative outlets, switches, fixtures and other devices. What we inspect: Visible water supply piping, distribution piping, waste system piping, water heaters and plumbing fixtures. Also includes inspection of the physical condition of piping, kitchen and bathroom fixtures; tubs, showers, toilets, and operation to assess flow, drainage and leakage. RADON SCREENING

A short-term test is performed to determine the possible presence of elevated levels of radon gas pursuant to local regulations or practices for real estate transactions. Radon is an odorless, colorless and radioactive byproduct of natural soil decay known to increase the risk of cancer in those exposed.

WOOD DESTROYING INSECTS

A Termite Inspection (also referred to as a Wood Destroying Inspection or Wood Destroying Organism Inspection) includes a visual examination of the readily accessible areas of the home for evidence of wood-destroying insect activity such as termites, or carpenter ants or the visible damage caused by infestations.

MOLD SCREENING

Screening includes: air and/or surface (bulk) sampling to determine presence of elevated levels of mold spores or verify presence of a mold growth.  Includes one air sample in one interior area and one outdoor control sample, with surface sampling of random or requested suspect mold growths. Processed by a qualified lab to determine results.

COMMERCIAL /MULTIPLE DWELLING PROPERTY

Inspections include: inspection of the visible and readily accessible areas of the roof, structure, mechanical and electric components of the public areas of a building, as well as all or representative individual dwelling or office/store units, as requested by the client.
