  • Water potability testing detects health risks like bacteria, nitrates and nitrite levels, and acidity. All tests are lab-certified and are included in your water quality inspection form.
  • Optional expanded water testing includes VOC analysis. VOCs are primarily artificial chemicals emitted from common household items like paint, as well as from agricultural or industrial sources.
  • Optional expanded water testing also includes measurement of heavy metals, including lead. Lead is alarmingly common in US drinking water. 56% of Americans drink from water systems with lead levels above the recommended limit of 1 part per billion.

Our Residential Water Quality Testing Process

Whether you’re a homeowner, business owner, looking to list, or looking to buy, water quality testing has the same purpose: identify concentrations of various contaminants. These inspections are especially important in communities near agricultural land, manufacturing centers, dry cleaning businesses, mining operations, and gas stations. We leverage national expertise and local insights to test for water contaminants. In addition to the water potability test, your local HouseMaster office may recommend specific testing for lead and other regional hazards. Count on our inspectors to follow our proven water testing procedures.
  • Step 1
Arrive with top-quality testing equipment and materials.
  • Step 2
Take water samples from a centralized source - home or building.
  • Step 3
Recommend additional testing based on local risk factors such as agricultural sites.
  • Step 4
Send water samples to a certified laboratory for analysis.
  • Step 5
Compile testing results in a detailed water inspection testing form and provide a course of action, if necessary.

Commercial Water Quality Testing Services

We also provide commercial water testing for businesses and commercial facilities. Regular water testing protects proprietors from liability and gives occupants the certainty they need. Our inspectors know the importance of providing a safe working environment to support employee satisfaction.
