I am a realtor that is buying a new home for my family and was recommended HomeMaster home inspection by a colleague. We recently took my mother in after my father past away and needed a house that gave my mother her freedom but yet kept her close so she would never feel alone. Ryan was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. A lot of times with home inspection companies the inspector has a knack or scaring a potential home buyer by turning any issues with a property into a catastrophe(mole hill into a mountain). Not Ryan, he went over everything and explained on a scale of “its there and don’t worry about it to you should have this checked out or taken care of in the near future”. He was very informative and I really appreciate that. As a Realtor and current home buyer I would recommend Ryan and HomeMaster’s to all my clients and use them personally again. |

We haven't been in our home for even a year yet have come across so many items that should have been found on a home inspection- some quite costly and some downright dangerous. The first was after only a few nights in our home finding rodents and wood eating insects which the inspector said there had been no indication of. Almost a year later- as I become a more knowledgeable home owner- I've come to find out my coal burning stove (home's main source of heat) is actually not installed compliant to specifications and is dangerously close to combustible materials. This will be a costly project to rectify but is quite dangerous so must be done. Until we can rectify the stove issue we switched to our secondary heat, baseboard electric. The heat will not shut off! I thought I had done something wrong over the holidays when I set the thermostat and we came back to an 80 degree home and a $600 electric bill. As I am now home to watch the thermostat and feel the radiators I can see that had not been user error. We must now find out the root cause of the issue. Lastly, we've come across ceiling fans that are not in working order which we're never mentioned in the report. I can only imagine what else may have been missed that I haven't caught (or hasn't shown itself as a problem) YET! I would never recommend this company and wish I had gone with someone else. |
