George was excellent and very thorough in his inspection and the feed back he provided with photo's assisted me when it came to the inspection of the roof. Absolutely horrible experience with these people. They are crooks and liars and have no integrity whatsoever. The inspector, Gabe, made a series of egregious mistakes in his report that have cost us tens of thousands of dollars, and Chad, the regional manager, has been rude and unreasonable. We are first-time homebuyers and put our faith in this company to help us make sure we were making a good purchase, and they completely failed us. The inspector marked the HVAC as being 4 years old but we discovered after closing that it is 18 years old and at the end of its life; replacing it will cost us $15,000. We also discovered that the kitchen hood vent was misaligned, badly installed, and wired incorrectly; that there is black mold all down the side of the laundry room cabinet; and that the previous owner had poured concrete over Saltillo tile, leaving the floor lumpy and the doors unable to close. These repairs will cost us upwards of $25,000, perhaps more. This company has refused to do anything for us to make these mistakes right except refund us for the cost of the inspection, which was $300. Unbelievable and unethical, and not to mention incompetent. They were so friendly to us at first, which makes us even more disappointed in them. |
