A growing national company is seeking individuals to join a team of professional home inspectors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, articulate, outgoing, personable, and presentable, and follows our standard process to complete an accurate, thorough quality home inspection and detailed report. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The inspector is required to have a basic knowledge of residential home systems and elements and is expected to work in various weather conditions, climb ladders, walk on roofs, access crawl spaces, and attics, and stand for long periods of time. Solid computer technology skills are necessary for report writing and communications.

The ideal candidate stays current on the latest company initiatives, policies, and procedures, while continually developing advanced technical knowledge in building science. Punctuality, the ability to work independently and a strong work ethic are also required.

Salary based on experience and qualifications.

 

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of construction, real estate, or home repair experience required
  • Completion of a recoginzed home inspector training program is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required

 

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
  • Second language skills an asset

 

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Candidates are required to possess and maintain a valid Ontario Driver's License and a presentable, working vehicle for inspection purposes. Inspections will be performed throughout the GTA, and candidates will be expected to travel daily. Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check. Home inspector certification must be successfully achieved within 6 months of employment; minimal continuing education requirements will be required annually.
