Jason Huber grew up on the southern seacoast of Maine and graduated from Wells High School in 1993. While attending college for marine biology he met a naturalist who worked summers on a whale watching boat that sailed out of Newburyport named The Captain Red. Jason worked on the Captain Red for a number of years working his way up from deck hand to first mate. In the off season, Jason and the crew would sail the Captain Red to Florida and used the vessel as a ferry between Marco Island and Key West. After his adventures at sea, he settled in York, Maine and soon thereafter began what would become a fifteen-year career in building construction and the electrical trade. He also worked and managed a local restaurant, Ruby's Wood Grill, for several years. During this time he met his beautiful wife Sarah, with whom he has two amazing children, Olivia and Marshall. After a few years, when they were ready to purchase a home, they were lucky enough to be friends with one of the area’s best realtors. After over a year of looking (and experiencing several home inspections of their own) they finally found their home. Some of Jason’s fondest memories from his childhood are helping his father construct their homestead. Since then Jason has held a fond interest in all things home related. On a whim, Jason asked his realtor if he knew anybody that was hiring home inspector apprentices. That’s when Jason was introduced to Daryl Justham, Area Director for HouseMaster Home Inspection and the rest (as they say) is history. Jason is a licensed home inspector and is also certified with the National Institute of Building Inspectors. In his free time, you’ll find Jason outdoors or on the water.
